Top 10 Travel Tips for Europe: All the Places You Have to See
I want to kiss an Italian stranger, drink French wine in a vineyard, and tan on Spain’s beaches. Experience my life instead of living vicariously through Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodensen.

I don’t know about you, but I am gagging to get on an airplane. I want to escape the COVID-19 lockdown and explore all the must-see places in Europe. I want to kiss an Italian stranger, drink French wine in a vineyard, and tan on Spain’s beaches. Experience my life instead of living vicariously through Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodensen (yes, I am watching Gossip Girl reruns for the 100th time!).
As rumors of the vaccine circulate, I am optimistic that we will be sky high again soon. Packing our bags for the vacation we all need, and I am heading straight across the pond. The continent offers romance, history, and the world’s best food. I am drooling at my screen, thinking about the adventures to be had.
Without Further Ado, Here Are My Top 10 Must-See Places In Europe. See You There :)
Must-See Place Number 1: Hvar, Croatia
This could be my favorite country in Europe. A bold statement, I know. BUT the water is so blue. The towns are so cute to wander through (think Instagram pics for DAAAYS!). The country is bursting with culture.
You can walk the Game of Thrones’ set in Dubrovnik. Wonder the streets of Diocletian’s Palace in Split. Rent a boat and explore the waters in Hvar. Croatia truly does have something for everyone.
Pro Travel Tip: If you feel like a cheeky sundowner, head to Hula Hula Hvar. There is no better place to sip on a cocktail and watch the sunset over the Adriatic Sea.
Must-See Place Number 2: Barcelona, Spain
If you are a foodie, then Barcelona is the city for you.
From Michelin star restaurants to affordable street food tapas, Barcelona is bursting with culinary geniuses. Once you can no longer eat any more patatas bravas, walking through the 17 hectares of Park Güell is the perfect way to digest your food.
Pro Travel Tip: When exploring Barcelona, carry your bikini in your bag. When you feel like you need to put your feet up, head to the beach to take a nap, and top up your tan!
Must-See Place Number 3: Ios, Greece
I spend hours on end looking at pictures of Greece. The white and blue is calling my name. Is there anywhere more picturesque?
Ios is one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades, and after spending my lockdown toning my body and mind with Alexis Ren, this is where I want to show off my new bikini bod. We deserve it, ladies!
Pro Travel Tip: Head to Chora to hike one of the many trails that lead to secluded beaches!
Must-See Place Number 4: London, England
I lived in London for over a year, and I didn’t even scratch the surface of everything the city offers. History, culture, food, theater, shopping. Whatever you think a city needs, London delivers. Covent Garden is my favorite place to spend a day, and a meal at The Ivy is a real treat.
Don’t forget to pose in a telephone box while you are here! Otherwise, did you go to London?
Must-See Place Number 5: Gorges du Verdon, France
Described as the Grand Canyon of Europe, pictures do not do the Gorges du Verdon justice. You need to go and see this iconic site for yourself!
Pro Travel Tip: Gorges du Verdon is not an easy place to get to. It is a far drive from any major city, so please plan accordingly. I recommend looking at group tours to see if there are any from Nice that you can join.
Must-See Place Number 6: Lake Bled, Slovenia
As much as I love the iconic cities and warm beaches, sometimes a holiday in the mountains is what the doctor ordered. In Europe, Lake Bled is the place to be. Nestled in the Alps, Lake Bled looks like something from a fairytale. I can’t wait to explore!
Pro Travel Tip: A walk around the lake takes about one hour. For a more magical experience, try the traditional horse and carriage known as a fijaker, as Agatha Christie did when she was a regular visitor.
Must-See Place Number 7: Lofoten, Norway
I am a huge Kygo fan. Completely obsessed. I am not ashamed to admit that this is why Norway originally became on my radar. BUT after more research, there are so many more reasons why I want to venture to this magical country.
Remember when I said I’m a surfer? Well, Lofoten is one of the world’s most northern sites for surfing. A dream come true for all nature lovers. You can go hiking, skiing, fishing, ocean rafting, or scuba diving in this sustainable destination.
Pro Travel Tip: Want to see the Northern Lights roar across the sky? Then the best time of year to visit Norway is between late September and March.
Must-See Place Number 8: Dublin, Ireland
Remember crying your way through P.S I Love You? Me too! Ever since then, I have romanticized going to Ireland. A dream holiday for me would be driving through Ireland with my best friends, and Dublin is the place to start.
Must-See Place Number 9 & 10: Iceland
Travel tips 9 & 10 belong to Iceland. There are too many amazing places to see in Iceland, the country deserves its own Top 10 List, but I believe that the top two spots are Gullfoss Waterfall and Seljalandsfoss.
I recommend planning your ultimate road trip with a company like Arctic Adventures to ensure that you stay safe and don’t miss out on any of the iconic must-see spots.
